It brought together 50 journalists, students, and university professors from Astana, Kostanay, Karaganda, and Kokshetau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the course of three days, participants developed key fact-checking skills: verifying text, photos, and videos, identifying AI-generated content, working with open sources (OSINT), using advanced search techniques, and mastering useful digital tools. The training was led by editors and journalists from Factcheck.kz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A special guest of the training was Kazuki Nakamura, Senior Coordinator for International Projects at the Nippon Foundation, a partner organization of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most active participants \u2014 including those from previous trainings in Atyrau and Turkistan \u2014 will receive mentorship from our experts over the next two months and have the opportunity to publish their own materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And this fall, we\u2019ll bring together the best of the best for an advanced offline training!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is implemented by MediaNet International Center for Journalism with the support of the Nippon Foundation.<br>Many thanks to all participants for your energy and motivation \u2014 let\u2019s continue strengthening media literacy and fact-checking skills together!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From April 22 to 24, the final training of the FactCheck Dive Offline series was held in Astana.
