Climate Journalism and Communication Training in Almaty

We wrapped up an incredible three-day Climate Journalism and Communication Training in Almaty, held from 12-14 September 2024! This event brought together climate journalists and communicators from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to deepen their skills in covering one of the most pressing issues: climate change.

Day 1 kicked off with participants pitching their climate-related ideas, and receiving constructive feedback.
Day 2 took us out into the field, where participants got experience with real-world climate issues and learned how to bring them to the forefront of public conversations together with Artcom Platform.
Day 3 concluded with workshops on fact-checking, climate communication, and using open data for storytelling.

We are thrilled with the enthusiasm, creativity, and knowledge shared throughout this training, and we look forward to seeing how participants will continue their impactful work in climate journalism.

Stay tuned for more opportunities! Follow us here for future updates and initiatives, as we continue to support both emerging and seasoned professionals in climate communication.

A huge thank you to our partners n-ost and all the participants for making this event such a success!
