Open lecture: MODERN CHALLENGES IN CONDUCTING RESEARCH

On February 7, 2018, at 14:30 an open lecture of foreign experts was held at KIMEP University for undergraduate
students of 2–4 years, as well as 1-2 year graduate students in Almaty, specializing in the study of research.

The lecture covered the following topics:
• Analysis, writing and visualization of survey data for public consumption
• Importance of communication work during research
• Innovations in methodologies and data analysis in research on quantitative and qualitative opinion
• Using social networks as a data source for researching an opinion of the target audience, etc.

Speakers were American experts:

The lecture was held as part of the speaker program to study the views of the target audience. The event was
organized by the International Center of Journalism MediaNet with the support of the US Consulate General in
Almaty.
