Increasing Awareness of Gender Issues in the Media and General Public

The project “Increasing Awareness of Gender Issues in the Media and General Public” was carried out by MediaNet International Centre for Journalism  with the support of the Embassy of Finland in Kazakhstan. This initiative had several objectives, including the development of gender experts’ capabilities through Training of Trainers, research on the representation of women in the media, and unpaid women’s work in Kazakhstan. Furthermore, quizzes were designed to actively involve the audience in discussions about gender equality and various forms of discrimination against women.
