The best practice trainers

The FactCheck Dive course program was developed by the leading fact checkers and editors of the resource Factcheck.kz. In addition, all online course trainers are active fact checkers or experts with extensive experience in each field.

“Tested” content plus new themes

The main topics of the FactCheck Dive course, such as the methodology of fact-checking, working with open sources and Internet advanced search, verification of photo and video fakes, deconstructing propaganda and others, have already been tested on thousands of students and improved by trainers based on feedback after the courses. But, most importantly, it is only in this stream that new topics of pre-banking and the use of artificial intelligence tools have been added to the online course.

From theory to practice

Our motto is study and practice! Each lesson of the FactCheck Dive online course contains 30% theory and 70% practice, so each participant is guaranteed to “check” all the content of the course himself and work out the skills necessary for the fact-checker during exercises and homework.

Only for the motivated

The FactLab online course is intended only for those who are actually interested in the topic of fact-checking (and not only) and who really plan to work in this direction or improve their skills after studying journalism.

No payment needed

The online course is absolutely free. That is why the course participants are so carefully selected by the organizers.

Bonuses

  • Each participant who has completed 80% of all classes receives a certificate of completion of the basic fact-checking course.
  • The best graduates of the course will have the opportunity to participate in a free offline training for fact-checking trainers in Almaty in the second half of 2024 with full financial coverage of flight and accommodation costs during training

Please note: The online course is suitable for everyone interested in the topic. Only for residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 90-minute classes will be held twice a week in Kazakh and Russian.
